According to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Standards Aligned System is a comprehensive approach to support student achievement across the Commonwealth.  Centered around student achievement are:

The standards aligned system supports the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s vision of ensuring that all students, including every English Language learner in the mainstream classroom, can succeed in their core competencies.
