Congratulations to Harmony Elementary 's Pre-K Counts and Kindergarten Graduates!


The 6th grade science/social studies class spent some time weeding, moving mulch and planting the garden beds in our school courtyard. Thank you to Mrs. Faint for keeping this area up and getting students involved in agriculture and outdoor science fun!




Seniors are currently on their trip to Florida, soaking in some warm weather and attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. They say hello to all of us in PA with stops already happening in Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. Thank you to advisors, Mrs. Lisa Kitko and Mr. Sean McMullen, for organizing this week of fun!


A group of Harmony students recently attended a field trip to Washington, D.C.
Mr. Woods chaperoned and guided our students across many landmarks and attractions in our nation's capital. Some of the destinations included: The National Mall, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, exterior area of the White House, Smithsonian Natural History Museum, and Mount Vernon.
The annual National Honor Society Induction Ceremony was held on April 28. In addition to the returning and new members of NHS, the Harmony Scholars program took place to celebrate the academic achievements of a number of our students in fifth, eighth, and eleventh grade. Congratulations to all of the students involved in this special night!
Smokey Valley Sportman's Club and the Harmony Owls Organized Trap (HOOT) would like to invite community to participate in this "Pulling for Isaac" benefit trap shoot. The event will be held on June 20 with registration from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Please see flier for more details.

A group of Harmony students recently visited Saint Francis University in Loretto and got to view the musical "The Addams Family." Thank you to advisors Mr. Hribar, Ms. Nealen and Mrs. Zachesky for chaperoning this event!
Representative Dallas Kephart recently visited Harmony Elementary's Pre-K Counts Classroom to read a story to the class.


A recent completion of our "Too Good for Drugs" program took place with a party and celebration! This program involved the 6th Grade completing the curriculum sponsored by the Clearfield-Jefferson Drug & Alcohol Commission. This is our 4th year in the program and the seventh overall group of 4th and 6th grade students to complete this evidence based curriculum of making good choices.

This week, the Harmony Area School District raised $1,918.00 for the Down Syndrome Center at UPMC Children's Hospital. Thank you to all who donated!

Recently, Harmony Elementary 4th grade students were treated to an America 250 PA Celebration Assembly by Sue & Denny Shaffner. Each student was also presented with a copy of their book.
